Family Fun Day at Oakwell - 10th February
Barnsley FC have organised a family fun day for the game against Colchester United on the 10th February.
Details are below
Fans of all ages will be able to take advantage of some very special discounts for our clash with Colchester United and to top it all every youngster under the age of eleven will be able to watch Championship football free of charge (terms and conditions apply).
The Reds are looking to pack the stadium for the big game and encourage the next generation of football supporters in the Barnsley area to come down, enjoy the match and be hooked on all things Oakwell.
Tickets for the Family Fun Day are priced at
ADULTS - £15.00
SENIOR CITIZENS - £10.00
JUVENILES (11 - 17) - £5.00
JUVENILES (U11) - FREE OF CHARGE *
Season ticket holders will be able to claim a free ticket from the Oakwell Box Office on production of their season ticket book together with proof of age for the child. Existing season ticket holders will be given the opportunity to move to a suitable seat in the same area or the North Stand if no second seat is available next to them.
*All free juvenile tickets must be claimed from the Oakwell Box Office by 5.00pm on Friday February 9, 2007.
Barnsley Football Club will open up the North Stand to Reds supporters as part of the special Family Fun Day with a host of special events and giveaways throughout the afternoon. We will have special 'Clicker Sticks' from Wickes; Mini Balls from Mitre as well as face painters and clowns throughout the North Stand prior to the game and at half time. Many more special events will be confirmed in the build up to the big game.
The Football club are also running a competition
THE Official Barnsley FC Website are runnign a competition with an exclusive prize ahead of the Reds Family Fun Day.
They are offering one lucky youngster the chance to be a walk on mascot prior to kick off as the Reds go head to head with the Us.
The winning youngster will get a tour of Oakwell Stadium and opportunity to meet the players and coaching staff prior to the game, a Mitre mini ball, a special t-shirt, their name in the Oakwell Review and on the Official Website and the opportunity to walk out with one of the Reds first team prior to kick off. The winner will also receive a ticket for the game plus an additional ticket for an accompanying adult.

News From the Oakwell Junior Meeting 13th January
A meeting was held before the Preston game at the academy. Several Juniors from Preston joined in the activities prior to the game. The pre match activities included a penalty shootout for the bfc junoirs,Rebecca Hirst won the 10.00 gift voucher in the competition.
We would also like to thank Neil Austin and Kyle Letheren for coming along to the meeting to meet the Juniors. Again we would like to thank Barnsley FC for agreeing to allow us to use the academy at Oakwell.
